About Us
Musicians and Creators behind the Jazzimals
DONNY SIERER
CREATOR, ARRANGER, SAXOPHONE
In the early nineties, Donny came up with the idea to create Christmas tapes to give to his family and friends. Rave reviews, along with a friend's baby being lulled to sleep by the sax melodies, led to the formation of his company, proDUCKtunes, and the release of his first children's jazz album Jazz-A-Bye Lullabye Classics featuring the Jazzimals band. After instant popularity, Donny created and released a second cd featuring the Jazzimals band - A Jazz-A-Bye Christmas, in 1998. Both of these releases garnered prestigious gold awards from parenting organizations. (NAPPA and PARENTS' CHOICE). The Jazzimal's third album, The Swing Set, is filled with playtime classic hits.
Donny received his Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance at the Berklee College of Music, and a Master's of Music/Jazz Performance degree at the University of Southern California. He's appeared in various venues throughout the Boston and Los Angeles areas, including The House of Blues and B.B. King's Blues Club.
Musicians featured on the CDs may include:

"The baby isn't even here yet, and my husband and I can't stop listening to this CD. If you like jazz music, it's awesome!"
- J. Fortier "baby enthusiast
"Listening to the latest jazz-a bye cd with my kids, reminds me when I first "fell" for jazz. Exposing the young ones to the cool sounds of "itsy bitsy spider", "shortning bread", and "hey diddle, diddle" told through the language of jazz is a must hear for adults and kids alike. Delightful arrangements, and strong instrumentation make this one of the "Koolest" cd's to have in your collection."
- Stella
"I have five children, when I put this on in the late afternoon after a nap it soothed them awake and into a good mood the rest of the day. When you can find music that can do that, its definately something you want to recommend to the whole world."
